Family Nutrition Dashboard ("we," "our," or "us") is a family nutrition tracking application that helps households monitor and optimize their nutritional health. Our service is accessible at family-nutrition-dashboard.vercel.app.

2. Who This Service Is For

Family Nutrition Dashboard is designed for adults (18 and older) who manage nutrition tracking on behalf of their household. We do not offer accounts directly to children. All family member profiles — including profiles created for minors — are created, managed, and controlled exclusively by the adult account holder.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you have parental or legal guardian authority over any minor family members whose information you add to the app.

We use your data exclusively to provide the service:

• To calculate personalized nutrition targets for each family member
• To display nutrition logs, charts, and progress
• To generate AI-powered nutritional gap analysis and grocery lists
• To process meal photos and voice descriptions through our AI (Anthropic Claude)
• To maintain your account and authenticate you securely

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising targeting
• Share your data with any third party except as described in Section 5
• Use your food logs or family profiles for AI model training

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We take children's privacy seriously.

• We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13
• All minor profiles are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian
• We do not collect data directly from children
• Minor profiles do not have separate login credentials

If you believe a child under 13 has created their own account without parental consent, contact us immediately at familynutritiondashboard@zohomail.com and we will delete it promptly. Parents may review, update, or delete their child's profile data at any time from within the app or by contacting us.

7. How We Store and Protect Your Data

• All data is stored in Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own family's data
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
• Passwords are never stored in plain text — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth
• Meal photos submitted for AI parsing are sent to Anthropic's API and are not stored in our database
• We retain your data for as long as your account is active

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction — update any inaccurate data directly in the app or by contacting us
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — request your food log data in a readable format

9. Cookies and Advertising

App cookies: We use session cookies solely to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies inside the app.

Google AdSense: Our public landing page uses Google AdSense to display ads. AdSense may use cookies to show relevant ads to visitors. This applies only to public-facing pages — not to logged-in app pages. You can opt out of personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads.

10. Data Retention

• Active accounts: data retained until you delete your account
• Deleted accounts: all personal data permanently deleted within 30 days of request
• Food logs: deleted immediately when you remove them in the app
• Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will send an email notification to your registered address. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
